Sunday Sketches and a Page from my Sketchbook

hi folks. I thought I'd miss this week's Sunday Sketches but while waiting to head to my parent's house for Easter dinner, I thought I'd draw a quick little bunny girl. I may even turn her into a painting at some point.
Be sure to check out Blue Chair Diaries for the other wonderful artist who are taking part in these weekly sketches.

Last night after posting a new work in progress, I worked on it for several hours, and cannot say I am too pleased so far. It hasn't turned out the way I envisioned it, so I will try and finish, and show it here.  If I hadn't woodburned the image, I would have covered it in gesso and started over, but alas, I am stuck with it now.

A Page from my Sketchbook

The last few Sundays I have shared a page from one of my sketchbooks, and will continue to do so. This is a page with some practice facial features, as well as a rough idea for a Little Bo Peep painting I was planning out.  Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hi Pink! Love this adorable bunny girl, she is so sweet! The way you draw eyes and lips is so captivating, you have a really great style. I think she'll look marvelous as a painting and you'll have a blast working on it. Thanks for sharing your sketchbook too, a real treat to see that lovely BoPeep, can't wait to see her finished!

Thanks so much for your comments and support I really appreciate it. I laughed about the comparison of your weather to Texas - tsup with that?!

Thank goodness we've got a long stretch of sunny warm weather for awhile, so thinks should dry out. As bad as it's been here, they've got it even worse in New Jersey....

Happy Easter and SS! Susan
