Nothing heals like art.
Here is a painting I started a couple of nights ago. I didn't try to plan everything out, I just let it flow, and am happy with how it turned out. It felt good to just paint, and not worry so much about the end result. Now if only I could do this every time.

As much as I love painting, I find I am getting too far behind on my art journaling classes. I think this painting should be my last one for a couple of weeks, so that I can work on my journal pages. There is so much to learn, and I am very impatient, so I tend to jump into too many things at once. Did I mention I also joined a doll class? There just aren't enough hours in the day!

I call it "artistic ADD" and I have it! It's a beautiful painting. I wish there were more hours and more energy to do all that I want to do.

Gorgeous painting. I know exactly what you mean, there are so many things I want to do creativity-wise, before long I'm jumping to something else too. The world of creativity is an exciting one with lots to experience. I likewise wish there were many more hours in the day, or that I had the energy I need to do all the things I want!

What a beautiful tribute to your precious Frankie. I remember the day we lost our first greyhound, grizzly, my husband sat down and wrote a poem. Creativity comes forth when we truly nedd it.

Hi, I just found your blog. Your paintings are beautiful! I just signed up for mixed media with the girls and can't wait to start. I just wanted to say "hi" and tell you how much I enjoyed reading your blog.

It is a beautiful painting! My heart is breaking for you over Frankie. Two years ago I lost my little Angel and she was fifteen, but through watching her suffer with old age, it was ok. Last year I lost another one of my girls. My house was just too empty, so six months ago we added two new puppies to the family. It does not take the place of my other two girls, but it sure did fill that ache in my heart. I am thinking of you and praying you feel better soon!

Hello! I just found you on Kim by the Sea. Your artwork is adorable. I love how vivid and sweet it is. And I feel your pain about the hours of the day. I'm dying to take piano lessons, knitting classes and still have to time to spend with my family and paint! Heaven help us.
Cheers,
Krissy

Even if you jump into many things at one time, you do a beautiful job giving each piece lots of love and beautiful inspiration :)

If only we could have a few more hours in a day!

What a beautiful painting!! My problem is never having a "finished product" in my mind. I always do what you did for this painting... let the painting express healing and freedom. You should take this approach to your artwork more often! It turned out beautifully!
