Saying goodbye to the world's sweetest dog
Tonight I found out that our dog Frankie, was put down. Even though I knew that he was suffering, it doesn't make it any easier. He was 14, and so tired. His eyes just lost that spark, and it was a matter of time. I will miss him dearly. We had him since he was a 6 week old puppy. He was so energetic, constantly biting and jumping, we never thought he would settle down but he did. He turned into the most beautiful companion anyone could ever ask for. Sweet tempered, gentle, smart, it was hard watching him deteriorate.
I will miss you Frankie, rest in peace

Ooh, that's so sad... pets can bring so much joy into our lives, we just had a fish tank mishap on Saturday and 3 of our beloved Koi fish died.
I'm so sorry to hear this. It can be so painful to lose a pet. Especially one you've had for so long.
I'm so sorry. It's very sad to hear that. I'm sure he was a the sweetest one.
So sorry to hear. May he rest in peace. I hope you have lots of photos of him so you can enjoy sweet memories of him.
Ohhh no! I have a 17 year old border collie.. I am afraid every single morning that I'm going to find her..well.. not alive.. Your pooch sure was a cutie.
I'm so sorry to hear about Frankie. I lost my own wonderful 14 year old pooch last week and have found that doing exactly what you are doing...reaching out to others and talking about it has helped tremendously. Writing down lots of the stories that made me love him and laugh so much also helped by making me concentrate on the good stuff, so maybe you would find that good for you too?
So sorry my sweet girl. We just went through this a little while ago and our hearts were broken. You will always have wonderful memories. Life would not have been near as wonderful without him and you will always know that too. I know that doesn't help right now, but know your sweet fur baby is in good hands! Kathy
OH honey I am so sorry. I don't even know the words to take away your pain. Just know that you are in my thoughts. I know how hard it can hurt.
I know what You´re feeling. We had to put down our most beloved cat (13 years) before christmas and that wasn´t easy...miss him very much.
(...Your art is so sweet!...)

I am sorry to hear about Frankie. I have 2 cats and a dog and they are like my babies. I don't know what I would do if something happened to them.
Oh sweetie! I am SO sorry to hear this!
*BIG hug*
But it sounds like he's out of pain and on his way to his next step.
Lemme know if you need anything hon.

Tell me what you think if you get a chance! Sheri Debow
I'm so sad for you. Losing a pet is the hardest thing. They ask so little and give so much in return. My heart goes out to you.
The following is a poem I received from a friend when I lost my beautiful Angel dog some years ago:
THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing: They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly looks up! The nose twitches. The ears are up. The eyes are staring. And this one suddenly runs from the group.
You have been seen and, when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross the RAINBOW BRIDGE together, never again to be separated.
We will keep you in our greyt prayers and send you white light for your own healing journey. Frankie will be with you always...just look for him in your heart. Talk to hi, he will answer. And one day, you will join him at the Rainbow Bridge, where he waits...patiently.
My sincerest sympathies
Oh, I am SO SORRY! We are going through something similar with a terminally ill dog, and it is so heartbreaking.
I'm sending a big hug,
Kate
Oh sweetie my heart feels for you as we've had to put 2 of our babies down. The last was in May..Bear had been with us 18 yrs. a big beautiful do who at the end wouldn't even let me hug him...sniffff..we have 2 pugs who missed him terribly too...stay positive hon...(((hugs)))
Having done this I know how hard it is and how much you miss them. Know he is playing...and happy somewhere else, where he is not tired and can play nad play...
Hugs~
Kathy
I know how you feel...my heart breaks...fly Frankie, fly!
We have a 14 year old dog too. He's such a sweet old man and he's still happy and fairly healthy, but he's also almost deaf and seems like he has some memory problems - has his good days and less good days. When he starts to have bad days, well, then, we'll be faced with that difficult decision. Sending you a big hug while you're missing your furry friend.
I understand completely. We put our 14 year old dog down last summer and it was one of the hardest things ever. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
So sad ..they are the best I had a shep that lived till 14yr he was so special...We were always together..when he was gone I felt like I had a limb missing.Love and healing.
What a sweet baby. I'm so sorry for your loss.
